Following the launch of our Dealer Spotlight series with Ripcaster, we’re delighted to now focus on the wonderful team at Glasgow Audio – just ahead of our Ultrafide x Kudos showcase at their stunning showroom this weekend (20–21 March).
A key part of the Holburn Hi-Fi and Holburn Online family, a mainstay in Scotland’s audio scene for over 50 years, Glasgow Audio is the go-to destination for audiophiles in the most populous city north of the border. The store was acquired by Holburn Hi-Fi in 1992, becoming its sister location to the original Aberdeen base.
Situated on Great Western Road in Glasgow’s vibrant, culturally rich West End, Glasgow Audio boasts a state-of-the-art showroom—a space where audio enthusiasts can fully experience high-quality hi-fi, home cinema, and smart home systems.
We have been connected with Holborn since the early 2000s, so this one is extra-special as they were a big user of MC² OEM T-Series amps for many years.
At the heart of Glasgow Audio’s ethos is the belief that great systems aren’t chosen from a spec sheet—they’re discovered through listening, comparing, and having honest conversations about what truly works for the listener. It’s a philosophy we firmly share here at Ultrafide Audio.
The team at Glasgow Audio is led by General Manager Jesse Stuhr who, like Jon at Ripcaster, has a deep-rooted passion for music and audio. Jesse’s grandmother was a piano teacher, musician, and artist—so it was perhaps inevitable that music would capture something meaningful for him from a young age. As passionate music lovers ourselves, we can certainly relate.
